Recipe: Green Moong Dal Khichadi Ingredients: - 1 cup green moong dal
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 4 cups water
- 1 ginger clove
- Cumin seeds, curry leaves & salt
- Pinch of asafoetida & turmeric powder
- Ghee
Method: Wash green moong dal and rice with water. Heat ghee in a frying pan. Beat a garlic clove and add to the pan. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, turmeric powder and salt. Fry this for 5min. Now, add the washed dal, rice and water. Cover with lid and cook for 15min. Take the pan down and let it cool without removing the lid. Fluff with fork and serve with ghee.
